Angel

in vino veritas

in vino veritas

Angel

in vino veritas

Angel

Last night they loved you opening some doors and pulling some strings, Angel

Last night they loved you opening some doors and pulling some strings, Angel

Last night they loved you opening some doors and pulling some strings, Angel

Don’t let me hear you say life’s taking you nowhere, Angel

Last night they loved you opening some doors and pulling some strings. Angel

Don’t let me hear you say life’s taking you nowhere, Angel

The word on the street

Angel was stashing his money; when he had 100K he was bailing out

The word on the street

People would like... come to the apartment and like... go to the john and find Angel , battered to a pulp in the bath...it was like, well, so many people knew about it, it wasn’t real and the authorities just let Michael walk...

There’s a body in the box

Clipped wings , torso

there’s a body in the box

Hudson River’s gonna flow

There’s a body in the box,

only Freeze and Michael know

there’s a body in the box

From Freeze’s hammer blow

Angel’s in the box

A case of quid pro quo?

bits of Angel in the box

Alig’s psycho Skrodle Show

Alig’s psycho Skrodle Show

Alig’s psycho Skrodle Show

Alig’s psycho Skrodle Show

Angel

My Miranda Rights (Robert 'Freeze' Riggs)

On a Sunday in March of 1996 Michael Alig and Angel Melendez were loudly arguing. Michael was yelling 'Help me! Get him off me!' Angel briefly turned and said ' Stay out!'. Then he grabbed Michael and started shaking him violently. I grabbed the hammer. So I hit him a third time and he went down. Michael got on top of his chest and was strangling him. He then took a pillow and put it over Angel's face. When I returned Michael was over the body again and was pouring something from the bathroom, some cleaner or chemical, into Angel's mouth. He then started wrapping tape around the his mouth. He asked for the duct tape from the closet and said 'You have to help me!' So I helped him finish wrapping tape around Angel's mouth. Angel was undressed down to his underwear. Michael said 'help me put him into the tub!' So we carried him to the tub and closed thew door. About five to seven days later Michael and decided we had to do something about this terrible mess. Michael told me that if I gave him ten bags of heroin he would take of this part. So I did and he went into the bathroom alone, and cut off both of Angel's legs. Michael put the whole bundle into a large box. A few hours later we took the box into the elevator and out through the main lobby into a yellow cab that happened to be right outside the door. We took the body to around West Side Highway and 25th Street. Then we threw the box onto the River.

He was a…he was a copycat…he was one of those copycats that we hate, so we killed him! I killed Angel…and…that's the kinda thing that gets me into trouble…huh!

Old Skool

yes you came from a mid-west town

and yes you made the Old Skool frown

yes you became the ascendant star

and yes you pushed just a little too far

yes the death of downtown came

and yes with it your time for fame

yes even Andy could not ignore

yes, the New York Minotaur

yes they loved you pulling some strings

yes doors opened for your pretty young things

yes you lived your Skrinkle Show

yes, a decadent, sex tableau

yes your night was very dark

and yes you became their patriarch

yes they followed full of hope

yes you were kaleidoscope

YES KIDS FLOCKED TO NEW YORK CITY

YES KIDS CHANGED INTO SOMETHING PRETTY

YES PG WOULD TURN HIS BACK

NO MORE H, K, COKE OR CRACK

YES KIDS LEARNED HOW TO PLAY

BUT AFTER NIGHT...ALWAYS COMES THE DAY

yes, post-modern, not unique

yes, situationist, stoned, oblique

yes, a firefly, falling fast

yes, in reality the die was cast

yes you had it good for sure

no, the night would not endure

yes the parties would have to cease

no more hiding from police

yes your fall was clear to see

no there was no mystery

no the scene could not sustain

yes the wreckage was yours to blame

YES KIDS FLOCKED TO NEW YORK CITY

YES KIDS CHANGED INTO SOMETHING PRETTY

YES PG WOULD TURN HIS BACK

NO MORE H. K , COKE OR CRACK

YES THE KIDS LEARNED HOW TO PLAY

BUT AFTER NIGHT...ALWAYS COMES THE DAY

yes people said yes

yes people said yes, people said yes

yes people said yes, people said yes, people said yes

BROTHER

The last time I saw…was in February; I knew he was…wasn't around, so I…beeped him, I beeped him, he didn't answer me, so I went to the police to fill out a missing person's report; but they never took any attention to me taking out a missing person's report, so right there I was like at zero, they wouldn't investigate; so I investigated myself, I made flyers, black and white flyers, and a $4000 reward if anybody'd seen him, so I started showing people…..they said 'Yeah, I know him; I seen him in Limelight/Lineout, something….' 'I saw him, so…|I know him' Do you know where he is? 'No!' Nobody would say. It was like they didn't give a damn…like, ugh…they just killed a mosquito or something…a roach or something.

Nobody thought they were doing anything wrong, I don't think; you know, you judgement is blurred and you're, you know…reality is not…is not…I mean you're not in reality…you're just not in reality…so, I…I…I don't know!

I spoke with Michael Alig. He didn't want to face me. He was like talking and like facing this way and that way, and looking, you know, he didn't want to look me in the eyes.

Me and my brother…we look alike a lot…so I…right there I said…this guy's guilty…he's not telling the truth.

The Epoch of Belief

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times; it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness; it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity; it as the season of light, it was the season of darkness; it was the spring of hope, it was the spring of despair; we had everything before us, we had nothing before us; we were all going direct to Heaven; we were all going direct the other way.

The Emergency Room

get out of town

get out of town

get out of town

get out of town

I tell you man, you just gotta get out of town

you know what I mean, it’s like

Michael’s fucked up

he’s  lost it, I tell you

you know  Michael

hey Freeze!

and Angel’s just laying there

get out of  town

“you’d go in and there’d be a doctor...you’d like, lie back on the bed and they’d give you either a valium or a bump of Ketamine or coke and a glass of wine, vodka, huh, whatever you wanted....ha ha ha...”

you are my peace

you are my time

you are  solace

you are sublime

you are my sight

you are my calm

you are tonight

you are my charm

you are my sun

you are my song

you are the one

you are foregone

you are my skin

you are the day

you are within

you’re recherché

“ it’s much more hard-core and nihilistic...it’s like people are looking for beauty in horror...you know what I mean...”

you are the time

you are the heart

you are the line

you’ll ne’er depart

you are the bore

you are the man

you are hardcore

you are woman

you are lifeline

you are the end

you are the sign

you are the friend

you are  madness

you are my truth

you are sadness

you were my youth

“you’d go in and there’d be a doctor...you’d like, lie back on the bed and they’d give you either a valium or a bump of Ketamine or coke and a glass of wine, vodka, whatever you wanted....ha ha ha...”

you are my way

you are my door

you are blasé

you are my whore

you are supply

you are suspect

you are reply

you are reject

you are temple

you are ego

you are vessel

you’re afterglow

you are my thorn

you are my light

you are my dawn

you are the fright

you are my death

you are the scream

you are my breath

you are the dream

you are the balm

you are my flame

you are my psalm

you are my shame

you are my ease

you are my voice

you are the Freeze

you are the choice

you are caprice

you are voyeur

you are release

you are demure

you are my peace

you are my time

you are solace

you are sublime

you are lifeline

you are the end

you are the sign

you are the friend

you are  madness

you are my truth

you are  gladness

you were my youth

you are my skin

you are my day

you are within

you’re recherché
